The Great Unbored Blackboard Book

The activities in the book utilize visual material that you present on a board that the whole class can see.

Don't worry about your artistic ability. Just copy the simple drawings provided in the book. There is even a script for presenting each of the visual ideas. Works great for smartboards, whiteboards —whatever is available!

You'll find twenty activities, all of which offer great ideas for putting to good use those few moments before you move on to the next part of your school day.

In one activity, students are asked ten questions about two similar, but different, shapes. For example, “Which shape would make the best wheel? Why?” Or, “If these were cookies, which one would your mother or brother have made, and which would have been purchased at the grocery store? Why?
